Here’s an ensemble 12 bar blues piece for piano/keyboard with bass and drums part included. It comes as a 13 page score and individual parts. The main piano and keyboard parts are grade 3-4 but any of the parts could be played as a single handed part. The melody and easy piano part could easily be taught by ear.
7 Parts: Melody, Piano 1, Piano 2, Organ, Electric Piano, Bass and Drum Kit.
There is a solo section in the middle of the piece for students to improve using the blues or pentatonic scale. The notes to use are written on the part. Lots of this piece follows very typical elements of the blues genre such as the melody changing between the major and minor 3rd depending on the chords.
This could be used for a whole class workshop or as a performance piece with a group of individual piano and keyboard students.
